Na podro\u010dju pod trnovskim gozdom, kjer le\u017eijo vasi \u0160empas, Ozeljan, \u0160mihelj, Vitovlje in Osek, pa tudi \u010crni\u010de in drugi okoli\u0161ki zaselki, je bilo \u017ee od nekdaj veliko zanimanja za nogomet. Igralci s tega podro\u010dja so igrali po razli\u010dnih nogometnih klubih na Gori\u0161kem. V \u0160empasu je po drugi svetovni vojni igrala ekipa \u0160empasa, ki je tekmovala z vasmi Dornberk, Branik, Vipava in drugimi. Kot igri\u0161\u010de se je uporabljalo prostor za zadru\u017enim domom v \u0160empasu. Leta 1972 se je v gostilni Tivoli (pri Zanu) zbrala skupina zanesenjakov in ustanovila nogometni klub (NK VODICE) z mati\u010dnim igri\u0161\u010dem in sede\u017eem v \u0160empasu.
